Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff and Red Bull boss Christian Horner have reignited their rivalry in the latest debate over the technical regulations. Mercedes have been pushing for changes to the rules for several weeks due to the potentially detrimental long-term health effects of “porpoising,” the phenomenon that came with the arrival of ground effect aerodynamics. The FIA introduced a technical directive to stop that at the Canadian Grand Prix, and the measurements taken from that weekend will inform some new rules imposed at the Belgian Grand Prix.
