Sebastian Vettel plays down Aston Martin contract extension talks

Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel has revealed that there is a “clear intention” for him to continue with the team going into next year. The German signed with the Silverstone-based squad last season, and he managed seven points finishes in a disappointing year for the team as they slumped to seventh in the Constructors’ Standings. Things have not been going too much better this year either, with the German finishing in the points four times in 11 races, although his P6 at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix was a sign that the pace is there; they just need to find it.
