Sainz sees first F1 win slip away: "We were very close to winning today"

Carlos Sainz still has to wait for his first victory in Formula 1. The Spaniard seemed to have good chances in Canada after a late safety car, but in the end he did not manage to pass Max Verstappen. Afterwards, the current number five of the world championship indicated to be satisfied with second place. Article continues under ad "I was pushing flat out. I mean I wasn't leaving any inch to the wall and we just didn't have enough pace delta at the hairpin to get him into the chicane.
