New York mayor enquires about F1 grand prix after Miami success

New York Mayor Eric Adams has been in touch with CEO of Liberty Media, Greg Maffei, over a potential New York Grand Prix, but logistical issues mean an event there is unlikely. Formula 1 held its inaugural race in Miami a fortnight ago, with the event making a loss due to the extremely high costs incurred to hold the event, and the pinnacle of motorsport will also be returning to Vegas next November. New York tried to host a race in both 1984 and 1985, but it never came to fruition, and there were further efforts between 2011 and 2013.
