Ocon out of Miami qualifying with cracked chassis

Alpine have announced Esteban Ocon will not take part in qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix, after damage sustained in his crash in FP3. The Frenchman cracked his chassis after spinning his car into the wall at Turn 14 during third practice on Saturday, with the damage procing to be terminal for his chances of taking part in qualifying. The Alpine driver will start last on the grid as it stands, with his mechanics needing to fit a new chassis in order for him to take part in the race on Sunday. More to follow… Share this Article
