Alfa Romeo calls on Ferrari talent to replace absent Kubica

Callum Ilott will be the replacement for Robert Kubica this weekend. Frederic Vasseur let us know this in an interview with Motorsport.com prior to the Miami Grand Prix. For years Ilott was considered a great talent and people saw him as possibly capable of breaking through into Formula One. Despite a second place in the 2020 F2 championship, it didn't come to that for the Brit. As part of the Ferrari program, Mick Schumacher (who became F2 champion that year) was preferred for the seat at Haas.
