Horner sees problems arising from inflation, freight costs and F1 calendar

This season's F1 calendar has 23 Grands Prix and that is causing logistical problems in the premier class of motor racing. The first signs of this already became visible at the beginning of this year when parts had to be transported from Saudi Arabia to Australia and then flown to Imola. Christian Horner is making the problems moot. In conversation with Motorsport-Total.com Horner says several factors are responsible for the fact that the planning of the logistics is very tight, sometimes too tight. The Red Bull Racing team boss cites the 'complicated' calendar with relatively many double and triple headers, the rising energy bills and the doubling of freight costs as the main culprits....
