Mercedes shows concept 2022 car: no return of silver arrows after all?
Unlike in previous years, Mercedes is taking the lead in terms of previews of the new Formula 1 car in the run-up to the 2022 season. On Sunday, the German racing stable showed a concept version of the new car, with a striking detail: the car is not silver, but black. No return of Silver Arrows after all? The Mercedes cars were black in 2020 and 2021 to support Hamilton's activism on behalf of the Black Lives Matter movement. It was previously reported that Mercedes, also known as "the Silver Arrows," would return to the original silver livery for the 2022 season.
