Abiteboul not to Red Bull: 'No idea where this nonsense is coming from'

That Cyril Abiteboul would be joining Red Bull as top man for the engine department is not true, according to Helmut Marko. The Austrian, like the Red Bull Racing spokesman, denies that the Frenchman will be involved. Abiteboul was worked out of the Alpine/Renault team at the end of 2020. The Frenchman still seemed to be allowed to join the new developments under the Alpine name, but was replaced by Marcin Budkowski and Davide Brivio before the start of the 2021 season. The former has now already been replaced after yet another reorganization within the French racing stable.
