Russell a huge asset for Mercedes: 'He's a polished diamond'

After three seasons at Williams, George Russell is making the switch to Mercedes. His former team boss Jost Capito praises the Briton and believes Russell is a huge asset to Mercedes. Russell's last season at Williams was also his best. In previous years, the team was not competitive enough to fight for points, but in 2021 Russell managed to secure sixteen points and even a second place in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix. Mercedes will take on a new driver in the team again after five seasons, so it will be exciting to see how Russell performs alongside Lewis Hamilton.
