Wolff: Verstappen a 'worthy' World Champion, but Hamilton better on the day

Article To news overview © Getty Images/Red Bull Contentpool Toto Wolff admits that he thinks Max Verstappen is still a "worthy" World Champion, but that Lewis Hamilton was deserving of the title on the day. The closely-fought championship battle came to a head at the season-closing Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with Verstappen taking the crown on the final lap of the race after a late Safety Car allowed him to pit for fresh Soft tyres and overtake Hamilton, who had remained on track with an older set of Hard tyres.
