Aston Martin announce ex-BMW boss as new team principal

Aston Martin have announced that experienced former BMW head of motorsport Mike Krack will take the reins as their new team principal, following the departure of Otmar Szafnauer. Krack had led BMW's motorsport operation for seven years before making the move to the Silverstone team, having taken charge of their Formula E, IMSA and GT teams. He has a decade of experience in Formula 1 as well, having been at Sauber and BMW-Sauber as an engineer – revealing that he has already worked with Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel in that time.
