Pierre Gasly has had an excellent season. The Frenchman did a lot better than his teammate Yuki Tsunoda and thus aroused the interest of several teams. Next season, however, he still drives for AlphaTauri and is realistic about the chances. At the end of 2021, AlphaTauri fought alongside Alpine for the fifth spot in the constructors' championship. Although the Italian racing stable did not manage to beat its rival, the season did show that AlphaTauri can provide excellent counterbalance to the subtop of the world championship.
