McLaren ‘very optimistic’ Ricciardo will rebound from tough 2021

McLaren executive director Andrea Stella is confident his team will get more performance from Daniel Ricciardo in 2022 after the Australian had a difficult first season with the team. Ricciardo joined McLaren from Renault ahead of 2021 to replace Ferrari-bound Carlos Sainz, but despite winning in Italy he largely struggled to match teammate Lando Norris.
