Ferrari's new 'Sharknose' tests the waters

All set to join the rear-engine revolution in Formula 1, Ferrari tested at the end of 1960 its beautiful new 156 "Sharknose" design. Richie Ginther, a man whose testing skills were greatly valued by Ferrari, is seen here about to put the Scuderia's new war horse through its paces. On the right, future world champion Phil Hill looks on, alongside Enzo Ferrari, both nonchalantly leaning against the Commendatore's 250 GTE company car.
