Triple-header ‘painful' for McLaren, Seidl admits

Andreas Seidl admits that the triple-header just gone was 'painful' for McLaren and says they need to accept that. The British team entered the run of three rounds in three weeks occupying P3 in the Constructors' Championship, holding a slender 3.5-point lead over Ferrari. Things couldn't have gone much worse for them since though, with a combination of poor pace and bad luck meaning that Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris only scored four points between them from Mexico to Qatar. Ferrari haven't had such problems and have therefore firmly taken charge in the battle for P3, taking a lead of 29.5 points into the final two rounds of the 2021 campaign.
