Brawn ecstatic: "Great for the sport, for the fans, for everyone".

Fernando Alonso takes an F1 podium again after seven years. At the age of forty the Spaniard shows he can still race with the frontrunners in F1. Ross Brawn is a fan of the Spaniard and waxes lyrical about the Alpine driver after the GP-weekend in Qatar. Alonso takes first podium since return from race Alonso opted for a one-stop at Losail. It proved to be a risky strategy when the tyres of Valtteri Bottas, Nicholas Latifi and George Russell could not cope with the wear and tear of the Qatar tarmac.
