Hakkinen joins race of champions in 2022

Formula 1 World Champion for 1998 and 1999, Mika Hakkinen, will be back racing as one of the drivers taking part in the 2022 Race of Champions (ROC). The 'Flying Finn' – who won his two F1 titles with McLaren beating Ferrari's Michael Schumacher – will be joining a selection of international drivers, as the prestigious event returns for the first time since 2019, and will be competing individually for the 'Champion of Champions' title, as well as partnering with fellow Finn Valtteri Bottas for the ROC Nation's Cup competition representing Finland.
