FIA awards penalty points to Gasly and Alonso for incidents in Istanbul

The FIA handed out several penalties during the Turkish Grand Prix. Both Pierre Gasly and Fernando Alonso received a five second time penalty for causing a collision. Both drivers also received penalty points for the incidents. At the start it already went wrong between Gasly and Alonso. In the first corner the Spaniard was hit by Gasly's car, causing him to spin. The FIA found that Gasly was responsible for the spin, despite the Frenchman having no room to swerve. Over the board radio called out in frustration that he had been 'sandwiched'.
