Red Bull on team radio: 'Verstappen didn't go there on purpose'.

Max Verstappen suffered damage to his car during the second free practice for the French Grand Prix. The Dutchman had to leave the track with a broken front wing after running over the yellow rumble strips and had to skip part of the practice. Red Bull Racing has asked the race direction to look at the kerbs in the corner. The Dutchman seemed to do little wrong in turn 2, but still suffered damage. The question therefore arose as to whether the high kerbs at that corner were necessary. Red Bull asked race director Michael Masi over the radio : "We're pretty sure Max didn't go there on purpose.
