Wolff enduring ‘toughest' spell as Mercedes boss

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has said the last few weeks have been 'the toughest' he has experienced as he tries to address the Silver Arrows' recent slump. The reigning World Champions, unbeaten throughout the turbo hybrid era, have lost their grip on both World Championship titles with Max Verstappen taking a four-point lead over Lewis Hamilton in the Drivers' and opening up a 26-point gap to Mercedes in the Constructors'. Bringing Mercedes to a grinding halt were two street tracks in the form of Monaco and Baku which have produced a grand total of just seven points.
