Verstappen congratulates Perez: "You did a great job, enjoy it".

Max Verstappen dramatically lost out on victory in Baku, but a strong performance by Sergio Perez minimised the damage to him and Red Bull Racing. Verstappen's teammate won the race, and with Lewis Hamilton also failing to score any points, the standings at the top of the championship remained unchanged. As a result, Red Bull were still in a party mood, although there were mixed feelings about Verstappen missing out on the championship lead. This was also the case for Perez, who in his post-race reaction immediately let it be known how bad he felt about Verstappen.
