Perez who was a bit unwell on Saturday qualified eighth for Sunday's race meaning he was always going to face an uphill battle given how difficult it is to overtake on the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya. The Mexican racing driver nevertheless managed to make up places finishing fifth over though he wishes he had more time to acclimatise to the RB16B.
