Gasly happy with P9: "Alpine was a lot faster than normal".
Pierre Gasly qualified in ninth place for the Portuguese Grand Prix. The Frenchman was satisfied with getting to Q3, as AlphaTauri has struggled with the track's characteristics all weekend. Gasly experienced difficult qualifying It was not unexpected for Gasly. When travelling to Portugal, the team already knew that the track would suit the AlphaTauri AT02 less than Imola did. "I think since the start of the weekend we've been struggling," Gasly told Sky Sports F1.
