Max: No driving pleasure from ‘super slippery' Portimao

Hailed as one of the best tracks to drive on the calendar, Max Verstappen was left feeling the exact opposite after Friday practice in Portimao. The Algarve International Circuit debuted on the Formula 1 calendar in 2020, and its series of back-and-forth turns through constant changes of elevation proved extremely popular with the fans and drivers alike. However, something which did not impress the drivers in 2020 was the slippery newly-laid asphalt, and less than a year later upon Formula 1's return to the venue it remains a criticism from some drivers.
