Alonso expects tough weekend in Portugal: 'Will be another challenge'

Fernando Alonso expects the Portuguese Grand Prix to be a completely different challenge to Bahrain and Imola. The Spaniard has never driven an F1-race on the circuit of Portimao. Portimao still new for Alonso Alonso did not race in Formula 1 last season, and will therefore race for the first time at Portimao this weekend. He did test here once in very wet conditions, so the Spaniard expected a tough challenge this weekend. "It will be a totally different challenge this weekend in Portimao compared to Bahrain and Imola. The circuit is very fun to drive and I think in these modern Formula One cars it will be very exciting," said Alonso in a press release from his team. Read more...
