Indy 500 likely to be run with fans in the stands in 2021

Good news for Indy 500 fans. The circuit hopes to welcome some 135,000 fans during race day in May. This while the fight against the coronavirus is still in full swing. Almost half the grandstands filled With 135.000 fans in the stands, Indianapolis Motor Speedway fills about 40% of the total capacity of the circuit. This way, fans wouldn't have to sit too close together and distance can be kept in fight against COVID-19. "Our fans mean everything to us, and we can’t wait to welcome them ‘Back Home Again’ for this year’s Indy 500," says Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J.
