Lando Norris unlocked extra performance in the McLaren car during the third qualifying session in Imola. On the second run, Norris set purple times in sector one and two and could've qualified in P2 or P3 had that lap not been deleted.  Speaking to Sky Sports after the event, Norris was clearly annoyed with himself but felt encouraged by how the car performed.
