F1 confirm Portuguese Grand Prix for May 2

Formula 1 have officially confirmed that the Heineken Formula 1 Portuguese Grand Prix at Portimao will fill the vacant calendar slot on May 2, bringing the total number of confirmed races to 23. As reported by GrandPrix247 on February 10, the announcement has been in the works for some time, with F1 indicating its intention to host round three of the championship in Portugal shortly afterwards. F1 has been working with the race promoter and Portuguese government in order to determine the level of fan attendance, with a decision set to be made in the coming weeks. The 2021 season gets underway in Bahrain on March 28, before heading to Imola for round two, which is scheduled for April 18....
