Red Bull will procure their own engines for the first time in history

Max Verstappen will drive a Red Bull engine in Formula 1 from 2022. It will be the first time that Red Bull are present as an engine supplier in Formula 1, but it seems the best step for the future of the team. Red Bull will design their own engine Red Bull had to look for a new engine supplier after Honda announced that it will stop the F1 project after 2021. However, Red Bull did not want to be dependent on a manufacturer that also has interests with its own team, and so Red Bull chose a different route.
