It's lights out and away they go with Netflix revealing a new Formula 1-based crime drama starring Robert De Niro and Star Wars franchise actor John Boyega is to be made. Written and directed by Burning Sands director Gerard McMurray, ‘The Formula’ centres around a Formula 1 prodigy, played by Boyega, who becomes involved with the mafia and is forced to become a getaway driver to save his family. McMurray will also share producer credits through his new production company, Buppie Productions, with De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Berry Welsh.
