Race of Champions returning in 2022 – on ice

The Race of Champions, which pits racers from different series against one another, will return in 2022 and, to add to the challenge, will take place on ice. The last Race of Champions took place in 2019 with Benito Guerra taking the victory while the Nordic team of Johan Kristoffersson and Tom Kristensen won the Nations' Cup. 2020 saw an online addition with Timmy Hansen winning that. The Race will return to the track in 2022, although this time the track will be ice. The 2022 edition will take place on a specially-designed circuit built on the frozen Baltic Sea at Pite Havsbad just 60 miles from the Arctic Circle.
