Renault team principal Cyril Abiteboul to leave with immediate effect

Renault Formula 1 team principal Cyril Abiteboul will leave the team with immediate effect. Former director of strategy and business development at Renault, Laurent Rossi, will become CEO of Alpine as a result. Rossi will take charge of the F1 team and other motorsport activities. In light of the news, Abiteboul released the following statement. 'I would like to thank the Groupe Renault for having trusted me for many years, particularly with the relaunch and reconstruction of the team since 2016,' he said.
