Formula 1 announces provisional calendar for 2021

Formula One has announced its provisional calendar for the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship season that will be now submitted to the World Motor Sport Council for approval. As the coronavirus affected season featuring a heavily-upgraded calendar is nearing its conclusion, Formula One has released its provisional schedule for the coming season. The provisional schedule includes 23 Grands Prix and looks similar to the originally planned 2020 season. The season is set to begin on the 18-21 March 2021 in Australia, although it is still unknown how the travel restrictions will affect the season-opener.
