Honda would have been a "real contender" for Formula 1 title - Gasly

Pierre Gasly believes Honda would have competed for Formula 1 titles in the near future had it remained in the sport. Honda recently announced it is to withdraw from F1 at the end of 2021, leaving Red Bull and AlphaTauri without a power unit supplier from 2022. Article continues under video Gasly, who formed a relationship with the Japanese outfit in 2017 whilst driving in Super Formula, believes the progress made by the supplier since it returned to F1 with McLaren in 2015 proved a championship battle was not too far away.
