Hulkenberg lined-up for second F1 return due to Stroll illness
For the second time this season, Nico Hulkenberg could deputise for an ailing Racing Point driver after Lance Stroll was unable to take place in practice for the Eifel Grand Prix on Saturday. A veteran of 181 Formula 1 grands prix, the German lost his full-time drive with Renault at the close of the 2019 season, but made a suprise return for the British and 70th Anniversary GPs at Silverstone after Sergio Perez tested positive for COVID-19. Now he is potentially up for another drive after Racing Point confirmed Stroll has an undisclosed illness.
