Fernando Alonso “would like to say yes” that he is returning to F1 to win a third World Championship – but is “aware of the limitations”. The Spaniard has signed up for a third spell with Renault starting in 2021, going back to the team with whom he captured his two world titles in 2005 and 2006. At present, Renault are very much a midfield team and still chasing a first podium finish since Nick Heidfeld bagged P3 at the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix.
