Racing Point confirms: Stroll's engine completely broken after crash in Mugello

Lance Stroll made a hard hit in Mugello, hitting the tyre stack hard due to a broken tyre at one of the fastest points on the track. The Canadian was out of the race and his Racing Point seemed severely damaged. This was confirmed after a fire started at the back of the car, which was difficult for the marshals to get to. In the end the bodywork of Stroll's car was pulled from the car to make sure the smoke stopped. When the fire was over, all that was left was a badly damaged F1 car. After research by Mercedes, it now appears that not only the bodywork is badly damaged, but also the engine can no longer be saved.
