Exit hurts Perez anyway: "The car looks great for next year too"

Sergio Perez has been pushed aside at Racing Point. In 2021 his seat will be taken by four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel. The team that will continue as Aston Martin from that year onwards is known as an ambitious team. It therefore hurts Perez to say goodbye. Aston Martin will be stronger than Racing Point Lawrence Stroll and his team have chosen to keep Lance Stroll (son of) within the new team of 2021 and to add Vettel at the expense of Perez. It hurts Perez to leave the team that is doing very well this year and will probably do well next year.
