Wolff questions Ferrari's admission of defeat

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has questioned Ferrari openly conceding defeat for both the 2020 and 2021 Formula 1 seasons. There is no escaping the fact that the Scuderia have been way, way off the pace since the revised 2020 season got underway, but Ferrari chairman John Elkann has only compounded the misery by stating that the team won't get back to winning ways until at least 2022. Ahead of the British Grand Prix weekend, Elkann said in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport: '[Ferrari is going] through a difficult period that starts far back.
