Albon: "The contact was so late that it surprised me"

Alexander Albon had a day to quickly forget in Austria. The Thai seemed to be on the podium behind both Mercedesses until he was knocked off the track when he tried to catch up with Lewis Hamilton. Strategy was right "I really think we could have won that race easily. We had a great strategy, the guys did great in the pit stops, yes we had a little luck with the safety car, but the car felt really good", Albon said in a press release from Red Bull Racing. "The hard tyre wasn't very strong today and I knew the Mercedes would have cold tyres on the re-start, so I already planned to get past them within a few laps of the Safety Car coming in", he continues.
