Zanardi remains serious, but stable, after second neurosurgery
Alex Zanardi remains in a serious condition in Siena hospital after his second neurosurgery, and no further updated will be issued until there is a significant development. Zanardi sustained a severe head injury when he was involved in a road accident on June 19 and was airlifted to Siena hospital. Doctors performed neurosurgery and maxillofacial surgery before placing Zanardi in an induced coma in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
