GP Hungary will stay until at least 2027 on the Formula 1 calendar

The Hungarian Grand Prix will be on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2027. The promoter race at the Hungaroring has extended the contract with one year. Third Grand Prix this season The Hungarian Grand Prix is scheduled for 2020 on 19 July and will be the third round of the championship this season. Besides that the race will be held behind closed doors, Liberty Media and the promoter have been able to conclude an agreement on a contract extension of one year. "We have been liaising with Liberty Media how to compensate the missing profit, because the organisational cost is not lower in case of a closed event", says circuit director Zsolt Gyualay to Motorsport.com.
