Formula 1 still aims for 18 races: ''Hopefully the fans can come too''

Formula 1 is about to start again. As of July 5th it will finally be possible to see another Formula 1 race in Austria, although it will have to be on television. For the time being the calendar consists of eight races, but more will follow. In the statement of Formula 1 it is stated that there is still a focus on fifteen to eighteen races in 2020. ''Due to the ongoing developments surrounding the COVID-19 situation internationally, F1 will finalize the details of the broader calendar and hope to publish in the coming weeks with an expectation of having a total of 15-18 races to complete the season in December'', reads the statement.
