Dutch Grand Prix return pushed back until 2021

Organisers of the Dutch Grand Prix have confirmed that the event’s return to the Formula 1 championship has been delayed until 2021. Formula 1 was due to return to a renovated Zandvoort Circuit in May after a 35-year absence but the coronavirus pandemic forced the event’s postponement. Officials held out hope of rescheduling the event but accepted earlier this month that it was unlikely that the grand prix could take place in 2020. ADVERTISEMENT On Thursday it was formally announced that Zandvoort will not feature on any revised 2020 schedule.
