Report: Ricciardo understood to have McLaren deal for 2021

With Ferrari's announcement of Carlos Sainz now widely expected, a seat at McLaren is soon to be available but it is understood it has already been snapped up by Daniel Ricciardo. According the motorsport-total‘s Christian Nimmervoll, Ricciardo's signing with McLaren is now also ‘certain', although it is only expected to be made official when Woking, Maranello and Enstone make simultaneous announcements about the changes in personnel later this week. Ricciardo has been long pursued by McLaren with his departure from Red Bull in 2018 sparking interest.
