FIA adds two weeks to Formula 1 ‘summer' shutdown

Formula 1 rule-makers, the FIA, have mandated an extension of the ‘summer' shut down for teams by another two weeks as the globe battles COVD-19. Teams are amid an agreed mandatory shut-down brought forward from the traditional August month in the F1 calendar, to now, and this has been extended for a further 14 days as no clarity lies ahead for F1 this year, or any sport for that matter, as the pandemic wreaks havoc with well-laid plans.
