Ricciardo to tackle issues ‘more intelligently'

Last year Daniel Ricciardo marked his Renault debut by sending Cyril Abiteboul a 'long email' of the things the team could do better. This year he plans to take a more 'intelligent' approach. Ricciardo joined Renault at the start of the 2019 season with both parties hoping for a marked improvement in the team's results. It wasn't to be. The Aussie qualified 12th in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix before tangling with Sergio Perez at the start and running off the track. Ricciardo hit a divot that cost him his front wing and later retired the car because of the damage.
