Alonso to feature in new Amazon documentary series

Fernando Alonso is the subject of a new documentary commissioned by Amazon Prime that chronicles the Spanish driver's 2019 season and the build-up to his participation in the Dakar rally-raid. The five-part series - simply titled "Fernando" - will feature intimate access to Alonso throughout the past year, documenting his failed qualifying attempts at Indianapolis, his second win in the Le Mans 24 Hours and his Dakar debut in Saudi Arabia. Javier Mendez, director of global content for production company The Mediopro Studio, said the series would offer "a personal and up-close vision of the champion, quite different from the public profile we have seen."
