Szafnauer explains the Reasons Behind Dropping SportPesa as Racing Point's Title Sponsor

Otmar Szafnauer has revealed the reasoning as to why SportPesa are no longer the title sponsor of BWT Racing Point F1 Team, with BWT having taken on the role of title sponsor, which was showcased at the car launch. SportPesa, were a new sponsor to Formula 1 last season. The gambling company was started in Kenya, and came to F1 with the background of sponsoring teams in Premier League football such as Everton. However, the team Principal of Racing Point, Szafnauer explained the reason why they have chosen a new title sponsor for the 2020 FIA Formula 1 Championship, as he talked to Motorsport.com, saying, that the team and SportPesa are still in communication, but it was best not to go...
